My Sister - A Memorable Person In My Life

I will never forget the time when my old sister and I lived together. She is about five years older than me. When we were young, we always argued about everything from candies and dolls to games and snacks. In the end, I was always the winner, and I laughed at her a lot. Many years later, when I grew up, I recognized that she loved me so much and she still loves me forever. She gave me what I wanted. She has always been beside me and shared with me whenever I felt upset. I still remember the day she got her first paycheck. She took me shopping and bought alot of clothes for me. She said "Congratulations for my first salary!". Until she got married, I was unhappy and cried so much. From that day, she hadn't slept with me anymore. I feel so lonely and miss her. She will be my lovely sister forever. I hope she will live with many many happiness.

Happy Thanksgiving ^.^

Although the party was delays until Friday because of raining, we had a very very nice time at Laguna Beach. We started at 11am, and came there at 11.30am. It's lucky that there was a great place for us to stay and enjoy the barbecue. All of us switched together to fry the food (some beef, chicken, and some Vietnamese food whose name I don't know how to say in English (^.^)). It's very delicious. We invited 2 visiters, and finally we welcomed the first one: Ms. Amy. We were very happy when she could joint and share with us that day. We think that if the other visiter came, we would be happier. After the yummy lunch, we went to the beach, took some pics and played volleyball game. So exciting! Then, we could see the sunset, it's so great. We love it. We hope our class will have a party like that to connect everybody together. Once again, HAPPY OUR FIRST THANKSGIVING DAY!!!!!.....

The Halloween dance party

Today, I have some free time to post the entry about our Halloween dance party. This is the first party when I come here - The CSUF. It's really a wonderful time, an exciting party for not only the old students, but also new ALP students as me (^.^). On that day, I saw a lot of students and teachers in Halloween custumes, such as the ghost, monster, witch, vampire... All of them are so cute and beautiful, but absolutely they also scared the others (~,~). We took some pics, danced, ate some fruits, and talked together. This is a chance for us to get acquainted with other students and teachers at the ALP. They're very nice and friendly. Through that, we can understand the U.S cultures, too. Thanks ALP for organizing this party, and I hope there'll have many party for us to participate in next holidays.
Here are some pics. Let's enjoy and share with us.

When A Man Is Pregnant

This is a funny movie that I saw when I lived in Viet Nam. This is the story. In an extended family, there is a wife who must serve not only her husband but also his parents every day. In spite of she is pregnant, she still does all the housework such as cooking, cleaning house, and taking care her husband's parents. She must be very busy every day without helping while her husband is watching television, reding newspaper and playing game. One day, a marvelous thing happens, and it changes only one thing. The husband is pregnant. It's unbelievable. He must cook, and he also has to serve his wife as she served him. He feels very tired and have his wife for sharing housework, but she doesn't care about that and says "Do it by yourself!". And then, she just goes out for relaxing and shopping. In the last scene, the husband must go to the hospital to bear the child. As a result, he has known how his wife worked miserablly.

A Person Who Influenced Me

There are a lot of people that you admire. They can be a famous singer, an actor, a politician, the president or any individual who succeeds in some field. But for me, my uncle is a person that I always look at as a mirror. He may not so popular with you, but he's always an aim for me to reach.
In my opinion, he is adventurous and always addicted to study. He was born in war time, into a family of five. All cost of living was based on only his mother's small salary from selling at the market everyday. So, he didn't have as many resources for studying as the others. After finishing high school in his hometown, he decided to move to the city by himself for a better future. His sister said "It's very difficult. You can't!" but he still held his ground and said, "Let's see!". Finally, he graduated from three universities with majors in economy, law, and foreign economy. He conquered a lot of difficulties such as the distance from his house to the school, and drink water instead of eating because he didn't have money to buy food. He had to be very hard-working to succeed. Right after his graduation, he and his friends opened their own company which distributed products for a famous toy company. This ia a plan they nutured and developed through the time they were learning at university. But due to inexperience in doing business and not understanding the market clearly, they failed. Afterwards, he determined to get more experience by working as a staff for some companies bacause he still wanted to feed his own business. At this time, he got the MBA degree and also realized that Viet Nam has many resources for processing dressmaking products. He began his business again. The first two years it created some profit and my uncle thought that he succeeded, so he spent a lot of money for the next contracts. Unfortunately, God didn't smile on him, and his business failed one more time.

After that happened, I thought he'd give up. But I was wrong, he's still patient with his dream. He was so sad and disappointed that he wanted to abandon everything, but his will didn't permit him to do that. Since then, he began reading more books and learning more aspects of doing business to improve himself. He was willing to be a normal wage-earner for some companies such as S-Fone Corporation, and Sony Ericssion to get more experience and develop relationships. In the same time, he also studied in-line for American Doctoral degree and became a manager as soon as he finished. He was invited to work for Motorola until now. Although he's a successful businessman now, he is going to plan for his own business. I hope he'll be successful.

He's a person who has influenced me so much. He makes me think about my own ambition. I must beleive in myself. He can, so I can.

(^.^) New life in The U.S (^.^)

Everyboby said that US is a dream place that a lot of people want to come and change their life into a better way. Because I can come here, they said that I'm so lucky. "Every day, I choose one happiness" (^.^). So, before comming to The US, I always try to think about nice things to encourage myself.
In my mind, U.S is a modern and beautiful country, not only in its views but also in its economics and people. There are many people who come from different countries, and if do they look at me with strange eyes or not. I wondered. Can I enjoy Vietnamese food or not? Do The U.S have kinds of food as Viet Nam or not? How is the lifestyle of the U.S youth? Will I be influenced by them so far? How about my relatives in The U.S, do they like me when I live with them, and if do I feel comfortable with them? And how about the transportation, the communicetion, the weather and the time? ... Everything occured at the same time in my mind. I felt so embarrassing. But I kept my composure: "Don't worry, it'll be OK" :-D

Now, when I am in The U.S, everything seems to be contrary to what I thought. It's really good. I smiled, a happy smile. Everyday I come to school, and get acquainted with many students from different countries such as Korea, China, Taiwan, Japan, Turkey, ThaiLand, Kuwait, Cambudia... They're so friendly. Especially, I can even talk with my teachers comfortably, and play games with them as we are friends together. This doesn't happen in my country. I always have the uncomfortable feeling when asking them about something both in lessons and in my life, so I choose my friends instead.

The weather here is great, but sometimes it makes me angry because I can't guess if today is hot or cool. It's usually cold at the morning, hot at the afternoon, and cold again at night. So I think the best way to fight with it is wearing a jacket outside. If it's hot, you can take the jacket out ;-)) . And how a bout my relatives in The U.S? The answer is they're very kind. They make me feel flexible and feel to be a member of their family, although I am not their niece in-law. I'm so happy. Thank you so much. Thanks for helping me :-*. Do you know that the streets in U.S are not as small and short as in Viet Nam? One time, I decided to go around for sight seeing, and then I got lost. Finally, I can't find the street lead to my home, so I must call my aunt pick me up. That'll be a memorabilia.

If you are worry about the food, I will advise you don't let your eyes on that. Because food in The U.S is varietal. You come from Japan, you have Japanese food. You want Chinese food, there'll have some Chinese restaurant here for you to enjoy... Moreover, you can try another kinds of food of other countries. It's very exciting.

You and I are facing with the same situation. Therefore, if you have something which is difficult, funny or difficult, let's share with me and the others. (^.^)

Welcom everybody to my blog ;-)

Hello! My name is Tuyen. I'm originally from Viet Nam, but now I am living in the U.S.A. I live in a happy family with my parents, sister, brother and younger brother. I've just graduated from The University of Economic with a major in trade, at my hometown, in July. And then, I applied to study overseas for an MBA degree at The Cal State Fullerton. I used to be a very active and ambitious person. I want to learn dancing, singing, designing fashion... and to participate in social activities as much as I can. I like it. I had learned English for a long time and also taken two courses of Japanese. I also want to learn French but it seems too dificult for me. I don't have enough time for my own dreams. In my leisure time, sometimes I want to be alone in my room, lie on the bed and listen to music. It doesn't mean that I am an introverted person. Sometimes, I change my favorite by going out, eating and shopping with some friends. As a result, I spent a lot of money for unnecessary things after that tour. ;-) Oh, one more thing about me is I like fruits very much; so, if you're nice, you can send me some fruits. Hehehehehe...... ;-)) I really appriciate about that. By the way, each person has their own way of living and I have mine. I believe in myself and try to do my best to get my goal. I hope you (my friends) are, too

the more happiness you have."
